Lead Guitarist and Drummer Wanted To Form Original Rock Band

Drummer and Lead Guitarist/Songwriting Partner wanted to form an original rock band. Must be dedicated, passionate about their abilities, and very driven. You must also have your own professional grade gear and reliable transportation. This is a brand new project. A kickass bassist has already been added to the lineup. Basically we are looking for a drummer and a lead guitarist that can not only write music for new songs but can also learn the songs already in our arsenal. My strength is vocals and writing lyrics and melodies. Finished tracks can be heard at www.myspace.com/violetegeorge.

If you respond to this ad, you must be willing and able to take this project as far as it can go. The ultimate goal of this band is to get signed. (and no I’m not kidding or delusional :-) Financing has already been put aside for press packets, recording of more demos, and an entertainment attorney when the time arises that we need one. In other words, no hobbyists please and no hard drugs. Above all, no flakes…if you are unreliable please do not respond to this ad.

Also, no one over the 35ish range please (unless you just look much younger than your age). I wish I didn't have to add that stipulation, but this project's ultimate goal is to get signed and unfortunately record labels have a certain image they want to see before they are willing to invest in you. I wish that weren't so.

If you like what you hear and want to be a part of it feel free to send me a message either via MySpace www.myspace.com/violetegeorge or at my other e-mail address violet.george@gmail.com or call 214-717-2914. If you call and don’t get an answer, please leave a message on my voicemail with your call back number and I will return your call as soon as possible.

If you have any recordings or videos of yourself playing please include the links to that in your response

Thanks and have a great day!

"SUPERSONIC NOVA" Looking for Lead/Rhythm Guitarist & Pro Keyboardist, $$$$

SUPERSONIC NOVA

We are an Oasis Tribute Band
= $$$$$
The Tribute circuit can earn us anywhere from 4-10k a night. Oasis is very popular all over the world and as of last month they split up.They fill big arenas everywhere they play and now we are the only Oasis tribute in the US and a few in the uk but this opens up lots of opportunities for tours in Asia,Europe and here in America. This really is a Great opportunity and it's a show which would put us in front of many people all over which could lead to bigger and better opportunities. Actors wear many different hats and as musicians when we play covers we wear many different hats but my point is that this could finacially allow us the resources to work on orginals and get paid for it. Oasis has a new release "Dig Out Your Soul" This is a pro opportunity and have For Liam's slot we have a Lead Vocalist/Lead and rhythm Guitarist. I'm looking for a Guitarist who can resemble Noel Gallagher as much as possible and can have the vocal range and front 2-3 songs. We are musicians who can do the job and have fun at the same time. You need to have stage presence which goes along with the experience and you should have pro gear. A good look always helps and I am keeping options open for those who have never been on this level and are comitted to excellence. You should have a proven track record ,Experience, Current Pics, Bio,and mp3's for Press and Promo Packages.
Our website is under construction and is waiting to complete the line up before we can start rolling. I know the metroplex has lots of talent, Me coming from Arizona and the Northeast this will work very well. The Show is 90 mins.17 songs with production. Pro level all the way. Audition will consist of 5 songs and will discuss them at the time of contact.

Serious Country Guitarist needed..

We are looking for a serious lead guitar that can play country...please, not someone who really plays rock and says they can play country. We are a traditional Country Band with strong vocals and solid seasoned musicians on drums, bass and rhythm.. We will be adding keyboards, fiddle and steel as needed. Contacts are in place.
We practice twice a week in Azle and have gigs ready to book all through 2010- as soon as the final piece is in place... Some as early as January.
Check out the website at www.brandon-wayne.com and then let me know if you would like to chat-
No addictions or drama please-
I'm trying to keep my faith that there really are good people who care about the music and take pride in their performance without all the drama- I am not here to babysit anyone...

I look forward to hearing from you!

We are looking for an individual who can...
Commit to the band & music,
Stay away from hard drugs,
Avoid drinking like it is going out of style,
Is between the ages of 18-24,
Is down with rehearsing at least twice a week,
Doing at least two gig a month,
And recording a record,

We are a rock band...
A singer that tends to remind people of... Johnny Cash, Ian Curtis, and or Black Francis,
A guitarist who shreds unlike most with a sound that can only be defined as strange,
A bassist who keeps the band in line,
Performances that tend to drag people off the street and dance... at times [dancing that is],
Music that has been described as... 'southern rock' 'blues' 'brit rock' 'trip rock' and as of recent... 'desert rock',

All in all, we would like a permanent drummer for this band. One we can adopt into the family... you know?

e-mail us at: americanstrange@ymail.com
Or catch us through the myspace...
www.myspace.com/americanstrange

We are currently wrapping up our next EP due to release before the end of the year. We have a really good fill in drummer, however, we would really like to find a member who can really call this band home.

So, if you feel interested, please do contact us and let us know if you would like to try out.

GRUNGE ROCK Singer / guitarist - seeks band

posted: November 13, 2009, 02:19 PM

Replywatchtower85@yahoo.com

Hey there!

Im a 24yr old, singer and rhythm/lead guitarist who is looking to start OR possibly join a rock'n'roll band (if I like the songs).
I've been playing guitar for about 8 years and have been in several bands, including the Dallas band "BORDERLINE" Check the links below.

myspace.com/borderline85
myspace.com/stephenpayne85
youtube.com/stephenpayne85

The music I write/sing is mostly inspired by the "seattle grunge rock scene" that exploded in the 1990's. Bands like Nirvana, Alice In Chains,STP, Soundgarden, Hole,
Pearl Jam, Mudhoney, Candlebox, Black Flag...ect..and "sound alikes" such as The Toadies, The Pixies, The Foo Fighters, Bush, OLD Greenday/Offspring/Smashing Pumkins,
Nickelback, Seether, Creed, Puddle of Mudd, RHCP, Local H, ect......
However, even though this is my favorite genre, I still like random good stuff like Crazy Horse, Boston, Soul Asylum, Radiohead, Jimi Hendrix, Mommas and Pappas,
Doors, Chuck Berry, Jeffersons Airplane, Metallica, Beck, Leadbelly, Weezer, U2 ect...
In short, I just like a simple, melodic, rockin tune, with heart and passion. Idols include (in order of importance) Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, John Lennon, Brandon Lee and Elvis.
Im looking for a group of people IN THEIR 20's, (so no old people please) who knows how to rock it out, jam and have a good time and be a good friend perhaps.
I have my own transportation/equipment, NO wife/kids (that I know of...), Im still young, live in wylie, can book gigs, have rehearsal space, Tama Set, Studio, Microphones,.....

BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH
Are you still reading this?
Lets JAM, play SHOWS, make MONEY, get BITCHES, be FAMOUS

Berklee Graduate Looking for Students

posted: November 12, 2009, 11:39 AM

Hello my name is Phil, you can read about my education and exploits in the other section so we'll just get right down to what I try to teach in these lessons. First and foremost I try to make lessons fun...it makes both the lesson and the learning process go so much easier. I try to make every students lesson as individual and through provoking as possible...no cookie cutter lessons, where "Billy" down the street is working on the exact same thing. Every student learns at a different rate and progresses differently so even 2 students who start on the exact same day will have extremely different things to work on. I also try to make the lessons something that the student wants to play, so unless they ask to learn how to play "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" we'll avoid playing things like that in favor of playing things that they are interested in playing...I try to utilize modern teaching methods utilizing things like powertabs and backing tracks(all available for free online) to help make learning all the more interesting and fun)

I am primarily a rock/pop player but can offer instruction in numerous styles and various techniques. I have lots of performing and recording experience to draw on as well to help students in practical situations as well.

Here's the part that's always difficult talking yourself up:

Well to start I graduated from the Berklee School of Music in 1997 with my degree in Music Performance and a minor in Music Education. While there I had the opprotunity to study with many instructors and also to take some special private lessons with Steve Vai(world renowned solo artist who has also played with Frank Zappa, Whitesnake, and David Lee Roth) as well As Joe Diorio(Jazz Guitarist/Instructor with far to many credits to list) Before attending college, I studied for a year with Richie Kotzen(Well known solo artist who has also performed with Poison and Mr. Big) After returning from college I studied with Jimmy Bruno(former leader of Frank Sinatra's band and also played with Buddy Rich)

I recently wrote a series of lessons that will be featured in a national guitar magazine and I am in the process of recording video presentations of those lessons for their website

I have performed in a variety of bands from all original Progressive Rock to Funk, fusion, and Popular/Classic Rock Covers, I also have been involved in a Frank Zappa tribute/cover band while I was still in college. I have performed with many musicians including Charles Fambrough, who is most known for working with Wynton Marsalis, Art Blakey and Grover Washington Jr. As well as other well known East Coast Jazz musicians such as Roger Prieto, and Bootsie Barnes, known for playing with Jazz Organ player Joey Defrancesco, and Maynard Ferguson, most famous for the Rocky Theme and Tom"Bones" Malone former band leader on Saturday Night Live as well as The Blues Brothers(the last 2 were when I was still in High School and playing Jazz Festivals. I also have performed with Tom Kozic, former Eddie Rabbit guitar player, and performed several gigs from 1999-2000 with a band called Halestorm known for their hit I Get Off. I have many other performing and Recording Credits as well

I offer personalized lessons utilizing modern techniques and interesting Proven methods. Contact me for more info
