Guitar, Voice, Piano, Drums, Bass, Sax, Flute, Oboe, Songwriting, Mandolin Lessons & Bandsposted: November 19, 2009, 05:40 AM

Fun and Excellence at 20% lesson than comparable quality instruction. Mention this ad for $40 off one month of sessions.
Promethean Studios is the premier location in the Metroplex for lessons and bands, at prices 20 percent less than comparable quality instruction. We offer beginner through professional level lessons and bands, for all ages, at all levels, in all styles of music. Guitar, Voice, Piano-Keyboards, Drums-Percussion, Bass, Sax, Flute, Trumpet, Oboe, Ukulele, Mandolin, Praise & Worship, and Songwriting Lessons in the Dallas-area. YOU ARE WASTING YOUR MONEY on lessons unless you have a great teacher with a great program. With excellent instructors and learning techniques students grow at an accelerated rate, cutting their learning time dramatically (and the amount of money ultimately spent on lessons). In our studios, you will have a personable player as a teacher, who crafts our program to enable you to play or sing the music you love, not the music your teacher likes. Our teachers have observed over 100 student lessons, they have learned and follow the Promethean curriculum for their instruments, and have played an average of 15 years. Promethean teachers are career musicians; they’re dedicated players and singers skilled in their art, who understand what it feels like to want to make music. Our methods teach people to become great while having a blast. Our students become musicians and players or singers who like what they’re doing, not just people who take lessons. And they get to play and sing the songs they love while still learning correct techniques. BANDS: In addition to private lessons we offer various styles of bands. Be in a band (4 to 10 students) that plays music you love with other people your age, like yourself, and with a teacher to lead, supervise, and critique. You’ll play cool songs, maybe get a chance to improvise or write a song with the group. Your band will meet once a week for 4 months and culminate in a live performance which will be recorded and you’ll get a CD. All instruments are welcome, not just ones we teach - Guitar • Keyboard-Piano • Voice • Drums • Bass • Winds • Strings!! Styles of bands offered are Country, Jazz, Classic Rock, Classical, Modern Rock, R & B, Praise & Worship, Blues, and Metal. Call 972-422-3362, email us at info@dallasmusiclessons.com, or visit our website at WWW.DALLASMUSICLESSONS.COM for more information. Press Release:
ANNAMERCURY Marinated together in early 2009 as the 5 member band like blending choice seasoned spices in a culinary treasure to create rock music for the world. Although, initially each member helms from different corners of the west region of the United States. They met and formed the band while living in Seattle, WA after a consistent time of artistically crossing paths. The underlining unspoken message the men want to say with their music is: “From the basement, to all the listening and visual audiences everywhere this is for you”. “AM” (AnnAMercury) is comprised of Brady singing lead vocals, Jeff playing drums, Robin strumming the bass, with guitars being laced by both Pete and Ryan. All five share a mutual inner passion for music and a quiet determination to be as good as they possibly can be. The music that the band chooses to create is original in nature with a savory rock-n-roll flavor. And each member contributes by drawing on their own musical backgrounds in a combination of ways to make the songs happen. After only seven months in the making the band is currently working on finishing its first songs to be recorded as an EP late summer in the legendary London Bridge Studio. Also, be sure to look for the band to begin their live public performances this coming November 2009 with much fanfare debut. EP release date is scheduled for November 15th 2009...You don't want to miss it! Checkout and follow the band at: (www.myspace.com/annamercurylive) & (www.reverbnation.com/annamercury) Thank you, ANNAMERCURY In association with MATCH 1 Entertainment ***SPECIAL BONUS: Download new songs from the EP release available at Amazon on 11/15/09 (www.amazon.com) • Location: SEATTLE, WA

We are looking for a serious lead guitar that can play country...please, not someone who really plays rock and says they can play country. We are a traditional Country Band with strong vocals and solid seasoned musicians on drums, bass and rhythm.. We will be adding keyboards, fiddle and steel as needed. Contacts are in place.
We practice twice a week in Azle and have gigs ready to book all through 2010- as soon as the final piece is in place... Some as early as January. Check out the website at www.brandon-wayne.com and then let me know if you would like to chat- No addictions or drama please- I'm trying to keep my faith that there really are good people who care about the music and take pride in their performance without all the drama- I am not here to babysit anyone... I look forward to hearing from you! Tonya- Manager • Location: Dallas/Ft Worth

Renaissance Rock band now formingposted: November 10, 2009, 05:39 PM

ITZA Mystery...
NEW PROJECT: In the process now (as of November 2009) of putting together a "niche genre band" leaning towards a Renaissance-Rock style and Band Image, similar to Blackmore’s Night. If you are not familiar with Blackmores Night, then follow this link to some You Tube Vids: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLXCeDKUkG4 Band Objectives are to develop and record our own original music, AND SELL IT, and also develop selected "cover music" for Live Performance at Pirate Festivals, Renaissance Fairs, and other selected venues, etc. YEP! We are looking to GET PAID. This is NOT a "bar band" in the traditional sense of the word. "The Show" (approximately 90 minutes),is under development, and will probably consist of about 40% original material and 60% "covers", arranged and flavored to suit the "Band Image"... "WE" are seeking out persons who play all sorts of instruments, and or sing. Currently have lined up, a female lead vocal, a lead guitar, rhythm/bass (utility player), a keyboard player... Still looking for additional players to fill in the holes: Percussion (traditional hand drums and/or a full kit), pipes, flutes, fiddle, mandolin, and any other exotic strange weird instruments as well as additional singers for leads/back-ups (male/female). YES... we will consider working long distance (over the Internet) with players/singers who want only to be a part of the recording process for original CD. REQUIREMENTS for Live Performance Band: 1) Please be 21 years of age or older... 2) Possess something beyond "beginner" playing skills... and have good quality stage gear. 3) You must also have TIME available, for rehearsals and at home practice time. 4) as well as having reliable transportation (and gas money)... 5) AND, you WILL have to "dress the part" for Live Performances. Rehearsal space is located in North Texas, near Gainesville, IN THE BOONIES. Interested parties who want to be a part of the Live Performance Band... ie...from UNT or the DFW Metro, South Oklahoma and surrounding areas, would have to "travel" for scheduled group rehearsals, on a weekly basis. Group Sessions will be held on a Saturday or a Sunday (or sometimes both). Please make contact HERE, if you are interested or have any further questions... Thanx • Location: N. TX, S. OK

Professional guitarist/bassist/drummer now taking on new students of all ages.
I have developed my own culmination of techniques for beginning and intermediate players, that will have them playing faster and with more confidence. Learn correct techniques and "useful" music theory that I customize to your level of experience and musical style. Whatever your music tastes are Rock, Funk, Metal, Jazz, Country, Folk, R&B, Soul, let me help you reach your goals. I pride myself on teaching you only the information that is useful to you and your desires. I can help you learn how to write you're own songs, how to solo, how to improvise, how to start a band, prepare you to be a performing musician, recording, or in any number of areas that musicians need to know. If you are a beginner, I guarantee that my methods will have you playing faster than instructional DVDs and most instructors, who do not customize their lessons for each student's learning style. Even if you have been playing for many years, but have plateaued in getting better, I can help you move to the next level. You don't have to start over, I just take the information you already know and make it work for you. A little about me: I am 34, and have been playing bass, guitar, and drums for 23 years. I started playing by ear at age 13, performing by 15. As a college student I decided to study music and received a music degree. I have performed hundreds of shows, touring, studio work, including several CDs, music published and placed on TV and movies. I currently perform several nights a week in the Dallas area, literally playing just about any style of music you can think of. Recently I finished a psychology degree, concentrating on learning and memory. I have learned that everyone has their own learning style, and I try to use my background to help you find the best methods that work for you. I have taught students from age 6 to 60. I teach out of my home in the Lakewood/Lower Greenville area, and can work with your busy schedule to find a time that will work for you and your family. Please call or email me for more information on my methods or any questions you may have. Look forward to hearing from you, Brent Marley 512-632-1268 • Location: Lakewood/East Dallas

I am looking to start a new project after having taken about half a year off from playing full time.
I want to play music that makes me want to play my drums. Things like Evanescence, Flaw, Taproot, Trapt, Seether, Stone Sour etc. NO METAL. I've played metal and its not really my thing anymore. Right now I'm really looking for a guitarist to begin writing with, however no matter what you play if you find any of these bands major influences in how you believe modern rock should be done contact me. This is very serious. I am a career musician, I don't necessarily expect you to be too, but please love this kind of music and love what you do. I have very pro gear and really believe that the quality of the instrument matters in the quality of the end product. If this has caught your eye please shoot me an email. • Location: North Dallas/Richardson/Plano
